Reformed don of yesteryears now a social servant growing heaps and bounds in Magadi Taluk gets honorary doctorate from Einstein International University, Florida. It awards its doctorate to only five candidates from India for their contribution to society, and ‘JK’ is the only one from the South to have got the ‘honor’.

Jedarahalli Krishnappa known as JK – HM Krishnamurthy did not go to USA, Florida to receive the award but he got the honor from Union minister of state for agriculture Harish Rawat in New Delhi on Monday.

JK is known in the Kannada cinema industry too. He produced a film ‘Jedarahalli’ on his life sketch in the direction of PN Sathya. It did not do well in the box office. He might take up a film later on. His interest is social service. Over 5000 people have got assistance for various activities in life from JK.

This doctorate was given purely on merit and no recommendation has taken place he affirms. There were so many people in the society who deserved but giving such a honor to me is only because of the hard and sincere work in my life says JK.

My taluk ‘Magadi’ is in the 175th in number as for as the development is concerned. I want to see its position in No.1 he disclosed addressing the media on Saturday evening at Green House Raj Milan.
